The creation of Bay Mare Sunrise began with a horse in need of help. A beautiful bay mare was just moments away from being loaded onto a truck that would take her to a place where her life was about to end. Thankfully, she was saved by a horse rescue organization, and I adopted her—my very first horse! A dream come true. By adopting Tess, my lovely bay mare, I have rediscovered myself. Our deep connection has inspired creativity. My artwork, which had been cast aside for 30 years while life unfolded, began to flow once again. I wanted to create artwork that makes you feel like I feel when I'm with Tess ~ peaceful, present, grounded, and happy. She is my peace, she is my sunshine, and together we are Bay Mare Sunrise.
